Original Cinderella film costumes and screen-used props on display...

To date Disney's live-action cinematic version of the fairytale Cinderella has grossed almost $340 million at the box office, and has finally opened in the U.K. just in time for the Easter holidays, so I think we can safely say it's been well received. Here's a selection of some of the original costumes and screen-used props featured in the movie on display at the infamous El Capitan Theatre along Hollywood Boulevard in L.A. on March 17, 2015.

To help bring the lavish, magical world of Cinderella to life, Production Designer Dante Ferretti and Costume Designer Sandy Powell visited an assortment of British National Trust properties and explored exquisite 19th century interiors and mixed-period textiles, in order to create their combined grand vision on the big screen in director Kenneth Branagh's film.

In addition to film props like young Ella's building blocks, her mother's sewing kit and her book, there were also her cleaning equipment when she is reduced to a servant girl by her cruel Step-family on display. Plus the pillow on which she rests her head sleeping before the kitchen fireplace when her face gets covered in soot and her Stepsister 'Drisella' gives her the nickname 'Cinderella'.

I'd seen these costumes worn by Richard Madden and Lily James in Cinderella previously on display at the ArcLight Sherman Oaks cinema, but that version of Ella's dress didn't have her apron for her chores.

If you like these authentic outfits, be sure to also check out Helena Bonham Carter's Fairy Godmother costume, Lily James Cinderella ball gown and Cate Blanchett's Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters palace costumes also on display within this fantastic movie exhibit.
